beesley121 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 Hi guys, Ive just took my beretta 682 to bits for a thorough clean as its never had one even though its about 20 years old!!! its not fired that many carts as a friend of mine owned it but worked away for months on end anyway, i tooks i apart and degreased every part. Spara Dritto Posted October 30, 2011 Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 Haha It's funny you've stripped it and now waiting for info for grease and oil Use Napier gun oil and gun grease. It's excellent and has a rust inhibitor in both. Lightly oil all metal parts with the gun oil and grease metal to metal - Hinge points and ejectors etc. Best of luck. I just now need to put it back together but Im not sure what oil or grease to use and where it should be put any advice greatly appreciated I do my 682 every year i use a white synthetic food grease but any grease will do.make sure you grease the conical locking bolt and the top lever spindle, and it will feel better than new.you need a bit of patience to get the top lever cam and screw back in. my 682 is 12 years old and shoots 200 cartridges a week and is as tight as new and has never had any problems so its worth doing. bornfree Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
