JDFrain
Kumho KL71 Good tyre and not to bad noise levels on the road
Beardo
http://www.tyresdirectuk.co.uk/ if you want proper mud tyres then the kingpin amazon are great budget tyres. I have the kingpins and they're used every day (never meant for it to happen but we need two cars most days now), been on the fronty for nearly two years and going strong. Which at £55 a tyre is a bargain.

Catweazle
Kumho KL71 Good tyre and not to bad noise levels on the road I read a review of those somewhere, a group test, they came out extremely well - as good as the BFGs and better value too. EDIT: It was a joint test between 4X4 Magazine and Land Rover Owner to find the ultimate mud tyre. The KL71 came joint top with the BFG MT. Also the KL71 won a German magazine test. The editorial staff of popular German 4x4 magazine Off Road has voted Kumho's Road Venture MT KL71 as their 'Off Road Tyre 2009'. This accolade comes hot on the heels of its joint victory in the 'ultimate tyre test', which was organised last year by 4x4 Magazine and Land Rover World to establish the best mud‑terrain tyre on the UK market. I have the BFG MT, but the Kumho looks like a winner when it's time for replacement. Edited November 3, 2011 by Catweazle

bigjohn
I've got 265/75r16's on the Disco. They work well for me. They took a bit of balancing, but then again, the steel wheels they're on, are pretty battered. They hum a bit, at speed, but the rest of the truck is noisier, so I don't notice. They don't stop particularly reassuringly in the wet, but then they aren't road biased tyres. They're very good on mud and loose snow. Arguably, AT's are better on hard packed snow. BrowningDJC
Maxxis buckshot mudders, brilliant value, hard wearing, imo the best value mud terrain tyre on the market! And not a remould!

woodcock1
Ive got a set of the 265/75/16 Dakar on my 110 station wagon. Got them in august from tyre wizard, £80 each delivered to Northern Ireland. I do think they will wear quickly but they are a great gripper and look good (painted the writing white). I dont find the noise excessive but im sure some would disagree, I cant hear them over the 200tdi.
