Fatcatsplat
I'm looking into leasing a motor for the first time on a private basis. Anyone got any recommendatiosn for cheap/reputable companies out there (South of Watford would be an advantage!!)??
Hamster
Location is immaterial, it's all done by phone etc. Google your car of choice and get a few quotes, don't expect attentive, eager responses. Most don't know they're born and won't call back when they promise even when dealing with obvious leads. Armed with a few sensible, REAL figures visit your local dealer, he may well have an inhouse policy of matching the deal.

huffhuff
I am literally waiting for our car to arrive imminently (lets hope it does huh). I went with a chap on here, Chr15j that owns/runs www.hawkins-cambridge.co.uk. I did a price comparison against a couple of the bigger firms - and he came up trumps. All paper work and 'official' stuff done with ease and no hassle. Nice chap too. Give him a PM Edited November 3, 2011 by huffhuff
ME
Speak to Darren "Nasher" Nash. I know a few people that have used him. He talks the talk, let me know if he walks the walk. http://www.planet-leasing.com/ EDIT: Feel free to mention me, it's been a while since I saw him, but people don't forget Edited November 3, 2011 by ME
ME
I would try these too, only because she was on Dragons Den and is proper mental http://www.lingscars.com/
Beardo
that has to be one of the most mental looking sites i've ever seen - certainly matches her well!
huffhuff
that has to be one of the most mental looking sites i've ever seen - certainly matches her well! Holy moly. That is one 'in ya face' website. Jeeeez! It hurt my eyes. I can just imagine her standing there shouting it all out with her funny accent! For comparison purposes and on a like-for-like basis, we are paying an extra £30 a month than if we went with lings crazy company. BUT...our's includes all servicing (unlike lings). So, I am happy with Hawkins-Cambridge.

Chr15j
Price diff is due to certain finance companies offering preferential rates to businesses. It's often dependent on the contacts a broker has and what finance companies they have on their books and knowing where to go! I find that most of the time I am able to offer my personal customers the same or very similar prices to businesses. I have alot of contacts and access to nearly all the finance companies out there. Re dealers price matching, it is very rare that I will lose out to a dealer, most of the time we are notably cheaper as we get corporate discounts which are better than retail discounts. Fatcatsplat, you have a pm Gadge-it you also have a pm Huffhuff, thank you for the recommendation

Hamster
I've always managed near identical deals bar the VAT difference on business deals, and if you're having something remotely sexy it isn't worth going the business route as you're going to also have to cough up for the benefit in kind shebang.
