huffhuff
Hi guys, What's the best thing I can do with my old car? It's an R reg Audi A3 1.8T in azure blue. MOT just run out. Needs a new back box and front bumper trim (bottom plastic. i still have it but clips broken). The lacquer on bonnet it a bit flakey. There is some knocking on near side, maybe shock or engine mount. 200k and never missed a beat. I've had it coming on 10 years I think. Only thing other than tyres I've had to replace is clutch about 3 years ago. It has the sexy looking S3 alloys. I was going to keep it offroad at the farm (I really don't want to get rid of it) but realise it may contribute partly to a new gun. So, what's the best way to get some money from it? eBay? Weigh it in? Break it? Cheers

alexf
I ebayed a S reg Peugeot 306 diesel two days mot left, no tax, needed a clutch and four new tyres and got £400 and I was brutally honest about the car so there was no come backs. Was offered £100 scrap for it. Good luck with it!
Gnome of the Woods
EBay it so Mat can buy it !
ferguson_tom
EBAY all the way, i made £700 on a ropey old ford galaxy that i got for free. People seem to go crazy on it and just get keen on winning, i have seen second hand things go for more than brand new ones in the shops. M.I.A
For some odd reason people go mad for cars listed on ebay as spares or repairs or no mot etc strange! Good luck with your sale, let us know how it goes
