Simon123
Winchester SX3's are great, low recoil and they'll cycle almost anything you put through them, everything i want from a gun. Just wish i could afford one ;) The Benelli's do feel and look the part as their so light, personally i quite like the recoil they produce (keeps you awake ), and the biggest bonus, very easy to clean. ;) Berreta's are another contender as well as Franchi's, but saying this they are a cross between the Benelli's and Berretta's ;) If your on a tight budget (which your not) a Hatsan is a great gun to get. I love mine, it's quite light on recoil, and it cycles anything i put through it from 24g clay loads all the way to 52g magnums. And the great thing about them, is you dont really care if you scratch it as you could buy 3 or 4 Hatsan's for one Winchester/Benelli/Berretta ;) I like mine and shoot well with it, eventhough people mock them

Still hanker after the Franchi though... Eric.

FarmerSim
As had been said a thousand times, and as most people know, the most important thing about any gun is the fit. You probably need experience or a mate with experience, or an honest RFD to get this bit right, without going to the expence of having the thing personally fitted to you. As was mentioned above, some new guns come with a multitude of shims to adjust the fit, and these are, IMHO, worth having. If you buy a second hand one, they will probably be available from the importer/manufacturer.... I took my own advice, and bought a Mossberg 930. Now, don't laugh, they are known as agricultural, and I'd agree, but it fits me nicely, is easy to shoulder, and (thankfully) goes bang, and I can hit things with it! It also cycles everything I throw at it without issue. The recoil is also manageable right upto 52g BB's - which, to be honest, I wouldn't want to have too much of a need for. As for cleaning - its so easy to strip, I can't believe it. Try one - you might find it fits you..... ATB Sim P.S. If you are into the tactical look, there appear to rather a lot of after market go-faster stripe type "extras" for them too....!!
Sco77w
Inertia: simple no cleaning issues indestructible light gun. Gas: less recoil handles usually wider variety of carts heavier gun. But more cleaning with the gas ones, Some get tempramental if you neglect the cleaning.
