ME
ME towers is now sold and we are moving. The estate agent said that the HIPs has gone now, but that we still need an "Energy Report". Is this the case and what does it cost please?

ben0850
Often called an EPC (energy performance certificate) imagine your house getting a sticker like on your new washing machine with a rating for how efficient it is, eg A+ etc
ME
OK, he said £75 so it's there or there abouts. Cheers chaps
Dr W
If you find one online it will be cheaper than your estate agent getting his cut organising it for you.
keg
We rent out a cottage in the lakes and have to have one for there as well. It's a certificate that states the bleedin obvious. I guess that the person that does these is not that bright. The lady that did ours suggested cavity wall insulation. No 1 is has 2 ft thick solid walls as it's a barn conversion. No 2 is that every builder i know suggests that retro fitted insulation in a cavity wall causes nothing but trouble. A waste of money in my view
NickP
If you previously have had a hipp, the epc is within that already so I don't think you'll need to do that again
