esox
A friend of mine took me out lamping rabbits with my 22Lr and i really enjoyed it. Was looking at buying a lamp but the price of some of them are scary i noticed B & Q were doing one million candle torches for £15, would one of these do the job ? Frenchieboy
I haven't seen or used one of the B&Q torches but these might be of interest to you for a shotgun or a .22LR! http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/184715-aldi-cree-torchgun-lamp-review/page__p__1563622__hl__%2Baldi+%2Bcree+%2Btorch__fromsearch__1#entry1563622 http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/186589-lamping-with-a-shot-gun/
Colster
If its from a vehicle or with a lamp man, I don't think you'll beat a Cyclops. A proper bulb (not LED) and change from £40. More than enough range for me when lamping even with the HMR.

12borejimbo
The battery life on them will be rubbish! Buy once.....cry once! Get the Clulite Clubman kit. Very good lamp for £100. Ive got the Clulite kit, and a lightforce RM170 on the roof of my fourtrak (when I had it) but still got the lamp. Very useful. Get the best your budget can afford! ajm1979
Got to agree with 12Borejimbo I have tried cheap lamps and torches and yes they are ok sometimes but you cant beat the likes of the lightforce 140/170 I have a 170 on the roof of my Fourtrak and a handheld 140. Also use a deben tracer max as a gun mounted light and that is pretty good.
spiny
Agree with battery life comments , they're rubbish in that respect. The other issue is that they don't focus the beam to the narrow angle you need for lamping, so you're wasting light out to the sides.
