dazsl
eley impax no6 they only do them at 28gram and fibre or eley realtree they are cheaper but you are better taking a range of cartridges up to 34 gram just incase you get some real high birds Edited November 26, 2011 by dazsl

Ferret Master
I'd personally opt for 30-32g of 5's or 6's if you are using a 12 bore with fibre wadding. FM
WelshLamb
take a couple of BB magnums with you (assuming your gun is proofed for them etc) in case a fox walks out in front of you, or some geese pass over or something
Frenchieboy
I presonally would take something like 70mm Clear Pigeon with 30g of 6 shot. They are a pretty hard hitting cartridge and should suit pheasant at medium to long ranges ( I regularly use them for crows and if they will drop a crow without any problems they will certainly drop a pheasant ) Other than that any other 70mm cartridges with 30 - 32g of 6 shot should do the job well enough as long as you point the gun in the right direction! While others might suggest it I wouldn't want to go any smaller than 6 shot for pheasant!

Wildfowler12
Gamebore Clear Pigeon 32gram No.6s in Fibre wad. About £2 cheaper per box than most 'game' cartridges and does the same job

lucas
idealy one with them little round balls in and that flakey stuff what goes whoosh. on a serious note it depends how high the birds are etc etc. Take a selection and see what other people are using on the day. even if it means buying the odd box od something you dont have im sure you will find a use somewhewre down the line
