ferreter10
I have somehow manged to drop my benelli while cleaning it on the magazine tube and put a dink in the magazine tube.... Does anyone know if these can be replaced easily? If so where from? Thanks Oh and the dink means I can only put one cartridge in the magazine tube :( Edited November 27, 2011 by ferreter10
super sharp shooter
Can't you put something I'm side it and tap out the dent
ferreter10
I could do, but I'm not entirely sure how to get the ******* thing off! :(.
Dr_evil
If you were to get a steel pipe or wooden cylinder of a similar diameter and smack it down the tube If you cant get it a good gunsmith might be able to fix it for you, only other option would be to call Benelli and ask how much a replacement tube is
ferreter10
I might just do that. Was considering converting it into a 5 shot anyways.... I think I'll get a gunsmith to put me a new unrestricted one on if it's not too much! Thankx for the suggestions
ferreter10
Either I'm being very thick (which is likely) or benelli don't have a phone number to call from the UK?
Dr_evil
Your local Benelli dealer will have their number, might have to call Italy though but there should be a UK distributer that will have all the prices etc
BerettaSV10
Try GMK as I think they are the importers, I don't have the number to hand at the moment.
utectok
There is an itallian company the do parts online for berettas and benelli guns. But there are plenty of exploded diagrams on line to take it apart and hammer it out. Failing that put round nosed pliers on the catch holding the spring in the tube and remove spring plunger etc and inset a bar and hammer our while attached to action
ferreter10
Utectok, won't that remove the factory crimp that stops me loading 4 into the mag tube? Or shall I shush?
polester
To get the mag tube off my m2 I had to unscrew it out of the action. It was bonded in with thread lock so didn't unscrew easy I used one of those rubber strap wrenches
ferreter10
Rightio, better get on and do it then

Good point but u could modify the the anvil ie put a tube or similar on the bar so it steps up if you know what I mean or file a depression in the bar at the right place for the crimp. I'd probably leave the tube in as breaking the seal on the thread might b a pain to replace and you don't want a wobbly tube
Dr_evil
You could be ambitious and chop out the dent then weld in a new piece of steel
mfletch
Its a taper length of steel with a flat on it so you can use the cut out flat to go over the cartridge stop then rotate to raise the dent Similar to the plugs here but with a flat ground in it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXQb2QoMJPo

The only way I see is to Whck the factory crimp out, then take the spring and cartridge atop out then Whck my little dink out?

Ohh must be a bit different to mine anyway I'd take the tube off then apply heat gun to threaded tube to release factory locktite and unscrew it so I'm told Good luck Will
ferreter10
Yeah it must be . So I don't have to heat it ect... Could I not go in from the barrel end of the mag and take the spring and cartridge stop out that way, then get rid of the sent while it's attached to the gun? Reason being I don't have a heat gun :(
polester
You could try a hair dryer it only need to expand enough to crack the seal of the thread lock
