PWD
My SG certificate is due to expire in about 10 days...I have applied for a renewal..( all be it with only a month to go as my dad went into hospital for a bypass...so it became a lesser priority plus getting my pictures signed was a nightmare as I have no friends locally :look: ) I sent my renewal back with a covering letter explaining my reason for delay .(think they want it in 6 weeks before renewal so I was two week late) Does anyone know what I should do with my shotguns when it does actually expire if they haven't sent or done my renewal . Do I have to relinquish them to someone else on a temporary basis....

Sprackles
Ring them up and ask for a section 7 certificate. It permits you to have your guns in your possession but not to buy any. My ticket ran out nearly 3 months ago and i'm on my second temp now. Renewal papers in over 4 months ago so dont get too despondant.
chris t
yeah he's right, father had issues with his taking along time to renew. They sent him a temporary certificate to tide him over. Was unable to buy carts though, but was what was needed. Chris
PWD
Cheers for the replies lads...I rang up the FEO and she reckoned I should have it back before it expires anyway ...outside of that she said no issues if its pending just keep your old ticket on you and any incidents can be confirmed as licence pending
Dekers
Cheers for the replies lads...I rang up the FEO and she reckoned I should have it back before it expires anyway ...outside of that she said no issues if its pending just keep your old ticket on you and any incidents can be confirmed as licence pending Thats very kind of her to say no issues if its run out, but that sort of bull frightens the life out of me, ask for as Temp Cert if it get close, no debate then!
