Sloter
Hi, I’m after a cheap Semi-Auto for rough shooting. Don’t want to go over £300 not to fussed if it’s second hand. I just want something cheap so I don’t need to worry too much about it getting scratched or anything in the field. Then I can keep my pride and joy nice and safe! So any recommendations? Anything I should stay clear of? If you recommend something please put rough cost on your post! Many thanks
MC
There is only one that I can think of that fits the bill, and that is a Hatsan escort. They are good, tough and reliable. There are available in wood, synthetic or camo stocks and up to 31/2" magnum. You may have a problem finding one though as I think Lord Geordie has bought them all. My advice would be to avoid the Baikal as the one i had jammed up more times than I fired it, despite what you may have seen on a video on here. browningstalker10g
again the escort gets my vote, bought a mean real tree hardwood 3.5 magnum last year for general strollling in a 'lord of the manor' fasion, and its served me better than my browning gold 10g and my x'trema witch have both had problems even though they get less use and less types of cartridges used on them, but if u rnt completely against the use of pump guns may i sugest the tactical looking benelli nova, ive shot in the rain drizzle fog nocked it about in a grant mitchel fashion and still its not scratched or about to fall apart, whats always worth doing is see if anyone has any second hand ones going as i picked mine up in the gun room ivybridge for little more than £150.
