dan-250
Hi guys. My pups coming on and growing up fast and is now about 5 months, he's always been fed on hill science plan as that's what the breeder was feeding him on, but recently he's been turning his nose up at it and not really eating alot of it and trying to eat my older dogs food. Is it worth changing him and putting him on something else ? And if so what would you recommend ? He's a border collie and has quite an active lifestyle. Obviously would mix it in his food for a bit before totally putting him on it.

Paul@Ribchester
Go with what feels right and if he gets an upset tunny switch back. My Lab was on beta puppy until 12 months and is ow on Dr Johns Gold. My 15 week old springer was on beta puppy but was mad for the Dr Johns of which I used to give him a few pebbles along with his own food. Today I have bought a bag of beta puppy large breed which has bigger pieces and he wolfed it down at lunchtime.I will keep him on the beta until he is 12 months because it did my Lab so much good. Its trial and error I suppose. My Lab is working hard at the moment and I'm struggling to keep weight on her, if I give her a substantial amount more of her usual food it goes straight through her so thinking about adding some fresh tripe in to her usual meals. Good luck anyway, Paul.

dan-250
Ok, cheers guys I'll get a smallish bag and try him with it. The stuff he is on is puppy but large breed, so not really small bits. Some days he loves it and sone he will have a mouthful and leave it. We tryed it with gravy on, liked it for a couple of days then left it again. Will try the chudleys food. Where best to get it ? Off the net or local pet shop/ pets at home even tho I don't like the place

dan-250
He's a blue mearle border collie, my girlfriends pup really, she has him for agility and fly ball or will be when he's older, too much for his joints yet. He's extremely clever aswell and can figure problems out, or how to get to things very fast. Hes not a shooting dog, but he isn't gun shy either so will probably end up coming out with me, as he picks things up very fast for treats, not being worked to round sheep up but has plenty of exercise with my mrs when she's down the horse field. But the little rat bag chew any wires in sight, and he has loads of toys. But I love him to bits , and I'm out with him quite a bit weather it's just in the car, down the river, or sometimes even comes to work. Just don't want him going skinny as it's quite cold. I wish I knew the price a week back as his other food has just cost me £32 for 12kg. I'll get him some and mix it. Thanks chaps
