Alycidon Posted December 26, 2011 Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 Eley make a good cartridge as do all the other leading makers such as Gamebore, Hull etc. Depending on your gun recoil can be an issue if you crank the load up to far. 28gr is the most you want in an O/U, shot size 5 is ideal, second choice 6. In a SBS go for a lighter load in 6 shot, you wont get enough pellets in the pattern with 24-25gr of 5s to ensure consistent kills at distance.
