Fox call/whistle

Hey all, happy new year! Over the last few years on our land at home we have had hedges, trees and a bit of cover put in. This has attracted many different animals including mr fox. I am hoping to try and get rid of him/her as we are trying to get a few pheasants over and have a walk around shoot each year. I hope to ambush the fox with a shotgun and call it in to the correct range. But what call is best? I am reffering to mouth calls/whistles and dont really want to spend much, say under £15? And before anyone says. I have had no luck making any noise by sucking on the back of my had! :/

Thanks in advance, Matt

Hey bud. Try this. Hold your hand out, fingers together with your palm facing you. Now their will be a gap at the bottom of your fingers. Now purse your lips together place the gap between your fingers over your lips and suck. Or get a wooden cloths peg. Take the spring out and tape a bit of cassette tape tight across the back of the peg. Tape the other bit of peg above the cassette tape. The pegs should be back to back. Now blow. You can alter the sound by slightly bending the peg

What steve_b_wales suggests works well and is very cheap to make or replace if you loose one, or alternatively if you enjoy "tinkering" and like to make yoir own equipment you could try this:

I made and sent out about a dozen to members of this forum and got some pretty positive feedback from them!

Happy Hunting!
