MG6065
I'm off lamping tonight, it's a big farm With about 600 acres to for me and mate to lamp on foot, it'll mainly be rabbits there but chance of a fox or two, should I take my pump action or side by side ? Thanks very much !
M.I.A
Either they both go bang I would take the sxs as a follow up shot will be much quicker than a pumper. It can be bloody good fun lamping with shoties, enjoy and let us know how you get on Edited January 3, 2012 by M.I.A
MG6065
Thanks mate yeah I love it! I'm not lucky enough to have my firearms certificate yet so it's the best I can do yeah I was going to take the sbs for the lightness as the less combersome tool but Ive got some 50gram BBs that could be fun fired through a sbs haa! Anyway we'll see!
M.I.A
Ouch i wouldnt fancy firing 50g through a sxs You may find that you will fire one shot and not see any for a while but just lately ive shot a few and there mates have stayed out At least with a shotgun you can shoot the runners
MG6065
Ha ! We got 3 rabbits and 2 magpies, missed a he'll of a lot with the sxs, I'm not used to using one and it showed, I couldn't hit a bloody barn door! Good night out though had a laugh! Need to get used to the sxs because it's a nice , handy little gun.

Luckyshot
Ha yeah the lamp died, dont think it charged properly for some reason, yeah the magpies need killing and they were too good to miss, A fine example of someone who doesnt deserve a sgc
MG6065
Doesnt deserve a SGC? I dont Kill them for sport I kill them as they're pests and cause a hell of a lot of damage, so I go go to the farmer , sorry I couldn't kill something you have asked me to kill because it was at night and in-ethical .. Welcome to the real world..
JustJon
un-ethical? I thought lamping birds under the general license was illegal?

Welcome to the real world.. I also don't shoot for sport but I certainly wouldn't break the law to keep any of my farmers happy and they certainly wouldn't ask me to, 2 dead magpies isn't going to make much difference and if you are doing it for vermin control you are not doing a very good job, 3 rabbits and 2 magpiesv off 600 acres. un-ethical? I thought lamping birds under the general license was illegal? Lamping birds outdoors is illegal.

Devon Fox
I like Looking forward to the storm that is coming ...... By the way, I would have taken the s by s as well, its so much easier to load/unload when crossing gates etc, I only use a semi auto when pick up shooting rabbits, driver takes care of gates
