scotland rifles
i am a fan of the 170 light force. i have one one a rifle. one on the truck and one on the roof at home, the only thing i did do was add a dimmer to it and its spot on. the dimmer is not cheap but i posted a wanted thread and ended up with 2 of them, the problem you have is where to place it in the power line, one you have done that the lamp is simply unbeatable. bob. Salop Matt
Personally I won't purchase another light force product, am going for clulight/ culson in the future with my first purchase being the little blue clu light to replace my 140 light force ! Salop Matt
I find them to light and fragile and replacement bulbs are expensive as there's something to do with which way the filament should be ! Also why tangle with cables when you can have something that does the same but more compact and with modern tech and no cables to tangle in. Also you can't charge the light forces in your vehicle very easily and they cost more !
FENDT
I have a few lamps when I am on my own walking around I use the Lightforce 140 mounted on rifle with an inline dimmer that I bought seperat, the beam is very good for a small light the wiring melted in it when I got it first.I rewired it and no problems since, it is not a very robust lamp would not take too much nocking around. I also have two CB2 lamps from Clulight and they are far and away a much stronger lamp and better wiring. The beem out of the CB2 might be a bit short of the lightforce but is far enough for safe shooting by night and good enough for the lurcher. The other job that I did to the Lightforce was I changed the connection on it to fit the clulight adaptor, and if I am in the truck I have the extension for the fag lighter and the clulight connection. But if I was to have only one light it would be a clulight CB2 model lamp. A buddy of mine has the Lightforce 170 a good lamp but too big for my work often times less light is better than too much. All the Best.
Salop Matt
That was the other thing about the light force, the wiring ! My light force setup is a 140 with red filter, deben dimmer and 2 battrys. If anyone local to me offered me £50 collected i would likely take it ! seriously, go coulson !
