remmy1100
managed to get away tonight to try out new pulsar nv add on and laser illuminator.went to a field that has some very flighty rabbits on it soon as lamp hits them there off.so a good spot for trail run.had set up addon before venturing out so arrived at field switched on quick adjustment to illuminator and scanned field 1st rabbit dropped sitting on a bank 60 yds away three more at 124 yards moved closer as was howling gale blowing dropped onto bipod and took second rabbit .went to retreive it and moved on another scan spotted another rabbit 55 yards away dropped onto bipod for shot and 3rd in bag .then the strangest thing happened scanned another field next to me and spotted fox around 125 yards out so dropped rabbits to hold rifle and turned to see where fox was but couldnt find him .turned back to pick rabbits up and one was gone thought i was losing me marbles so back tracked with torch no sign of it .there was no way it was still alive as were all headshot.and only 2 foot behind me.anyway the nv is a excellent bit of kit looking forward to trying on foxy when i get me foxpro off one of our own.must say that i found the dsa from pulsar bit poor so ill be looking for better one if anyone has any info.3 rabbits shot saw quite a few more but moon wasnt helping looking forward to trying it on the hmr when the wind clears off. Lord Geordie
Remmy Is that a Yukon gen 1 NV? I have one but has the bigger mag lens on it so I can't use a DSA on it until I find the smaller lens to change it to. I have a dedicated NV scope that was quite crud with the onboard IR but once I got NV laser illuminator WOW what a difference.
