Tomm
hello, loking at getting a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 for a tikka .22-250 for lamping foxes, will this be ok, i want something that is tough and rugged and will not loose its zero, has anyone had or got one that could review on? tweedledee
i have used them on rimfire and fac. rate them as a good scope. not sure how they would perform at distance on a centrefire.

huntsman
Would try and get the bigger optic something with a x56 maybe the elite 6500 2.5 - 16x56 the 40mm objective maybe a wee bit small and not let enough light in
tweedledee
Don t often shoot at dusk but i struggle to see at eighty yards with one .great scope if you don t intend night shooting
bullet boy
Hi Tom,I got this particular scope on my Theoben Rapid 17 air-rifle.It's a cracking scope but wouldn't put it on my .22-250. I would certainly look for something with a bigger objective lens, either a 50mm or 56mm. I got a Simmons WTC 6.5-20x50 scope on my .22LR and it would be a cracking scope on my .22-250 too. coyotemaster
Hi Tom,I got this particular scope on my Theoben Rapid 17 air-rifle.It's a cracking scope but wouldn't put it on my .22-250. The 3200 is a good scope-- they make a 4x12x40 that would do you better than the straight 10 power.
Dekers
Scopes are very personal. Anything that starts with 10x is too powerful for my liking, I also prefer variable power scopes for field work! Many are commenting about Objective size and light transmission, I believe you will find a number of 40mm scopes with Better light transmission than some 50-56mm scopes. Glass quality, coatings and lens elements have more to do with light transmission than simply objective (or tube) size! ATB!
