Right&Left
Hi, My friend has an Escort Magnum semi auto with 30inch Barrels. He would like to get a set of 28inch barrels but the cost is prohibiting him. Would anyone like to "swap" their 28 inch barrels with his 30 inch barrels ? It's a matt black finish and they are in good / used condition. Not overly sure how this will work with the FAD, but once a swapper is found i'm sure something can be arranaged. He is also willing to pay a little extra for your 28inch if desired. PM me or call me on 07838213602.
Cosd
I'm no expert on this, but I'm not sure it's as simple as swapping barrels. I asked this question some years back (different gun admittedly) and I was advised not to do it. I'm sure someone will come along and explain why if I am right, or correct me if I'm wrong. Might be better off selling the gun and buying another, or swapping it with someone wanting a longer barrel Hatsan. Right&Left
Cheers Cosd... I was told by a chap at my gun shop its no probs with the Escorts, but I'm not 100% sure myself.. also wonder how the FAD will take it ? Esspecially if the barrells are stamped with seriel numbers etc ?
gixer1
nah, on the hatsans both barrels will explode/split fit the same...
Winterwolf
Ask the suppliers online directly ... They'll let you know if theres a reason you cant. www.shootingsports.edgarbrothers.com/pages/askderek.aspx
Evil Elvis
I doesnt matter what length barrel you put on it as youll never get past the Jams to find out if it makes a difference and just for the record, they should switch over easily. Alanl50
Despite all the pathetic replies there is no problem swapping barrels from one Hatstand to another. No gunsmith needed What you will need to do is enter the barrel on your certificates as they are serial numbered, on the very end of breech, past the cartridge case ejector lump thingy me bob. Not every one on this site can afford Brownings, Winchesters, or Beretta's ATB Alan

And a second hand browning/beretta/winchester can be bought for the price of the hatstands....
Winterwolf
Yup thats right ... but not much good if theres an issue with your 2nd hand browning from a private sale though. I would love a new browning ... but thats never going to happen, wouldn't waste that much dough on a gun I could put towards another bike. As said before in millions of threads if they were that bad Edgar Brothers would not offer 3 year warranty on Hatsan's, and are there really that many secondhand Brownings, Beretta's and Winchester for around the £400.00 mark? NO I dont think so and as said in the post above what about warranty issues with secondhand bought private and you only get limited warranty from gunshops Not one person would buy a Hatsan or similar cheap shotgun/firearms if they could afford a Browning, Beretta, or Winchester. Hatsans represent value for money and are backed by up by Edgar Brothers guarantee. Regards Alan

There are also an abundance of 300 series berettas for the £400 mark, no less than 16 of them on gun trader at this very moment, probably the same in Remingtons and Winchester. Stop being so touchy about them! They have had some issues with them - end of...it's not an all out attack it's just a fact, I would buy another but I certainly would not choose it as a gun for one of my kids to use, it would be as it was intended - a cheap knockabout gun for wildfowling and rough shooting. Sorry but I would, in fact I have 3. All go bang and hit what I point at (assuming I point in the correct place!), I have owned a Beretta, Browning and a very, very nice Miroku back in the 80s. All I need for my clay shooting is a gun that shoots, if my scores were going to improve massively I may buy another gun but as I usually hit around 8/10 they will do me nicely. At the end of the day whatever gun you're happy with is still just piece of metal tube
