rabbit shooting

Forget your landy - what you want is one of these.

Comfort, reliability with a superb shooting position.

Light in weight so that you do not chew up the fields, and switching from high to low ration on the move can be done with a flick of a finger.

'Ration' should have read 'ratio'.

Please note dead rabbit by the back wheel - if you can't shoot 'em they just walk up to you, turn tummy side up and surrender :good::no:

This is my 2nd Forrester. Done 86,000 miles in just over 2 years.

The first one did 122,000 (I think) in 3 years. Not a spot of bother.

Inbetween I had a Skoda Octavia Estate 4 x 4 and that was pretty good too off-road.

Where the Forrester scores is that it has the biggest sunroof of any car.

Down side is that it is petrol, but Subaru are bringing a diesel out next year, probably with an Isuzu engine.

very good cars the subaru's

my parents are on their 2nd 3.0 outback, last one gave us just over 3 years of problem free motoring, which was then part ex. for this new one, a little bit quicker and less agricultural than hte old shape. nearly 10k down the road still no problems.

They are no landrovers, when it comes to ground clearance, but we havent got stuck yet and we drag it around the fields quite alot and is only wearing road spec tires.

My dad has a forester as well. Good car, though for the real muddy 4x4 work not really any good. Hight clearance is also not very big. But if you know these "shortcomings" it is a very good reliable car suitable for most offroad conditions. Not much boot room unfortunately. Took the car several times to the UK. Drives pretty good and fast :good: .

After owing a Mits Pajero (shogun) for two years and some serious offroading, i bought a Subaru Legacy (also 4x4). Even less ground clearance then the forester  , but still performes well on wet grass and not too muddy conditions. And i am a big fan of the loads of space in the car, and it never breaks down and is pretty cheap in maintenace (knonk wood).

So thumbs up for Subaru :/

If you put your glasses on you can see its a bunny

thought it was,

don, how do you sell rabbits that says dunlop down there backs. :good:

Hi Mark

We stopped the motor to do a rabbit gutting session, and whilst we were at it I asked my mate to pose in the top for a pic.

The rabbits had been piled in a heap near to the back wheel, and one of my disreputable mates left it there unknown to me.

Queer sense of humour they have.

A few weeks ago I arrived at work after a rabbit session the night before.

On arriving at the car park my MD (who had arrived at the same time) said to me "Went shooting last night did you?".

On looking at my front number plate, gracefully jammed in a 'v' were two rabbit legs, and in the middle was a rabbit tail. ********!
