stu nesling
got a 712 and a 912 wipe the magazine tube down then apply a light film of thin oil. take the barrel off and give that a quick wipe over and a run through to clean the **** out of the barrel. remove the piston on the mag tube and give that a wipe over and then give it a light oiling ( if you dont clean this part gas deposits will build up and be a ****** to clean after a few trips). next clean out the housing under the barrel that the piston lives in and apply a thin film of oil ( same applys for this as the piston). next just give the action and internals a quick wipe with a lightly oiled cloth and your done. you can remove the trigger group really easily but its not normally needed. dont forget to lock the bolt back before you do all of this, and watch you dont hit the bolt release button while your cleaning as it will mark the action when steel meets ali be careful with the screw on cap on the end of the mag tube......if left on after a few trips it could jam/sieze on as a tiny bit of gas does come through there, i find it best to just oil the threads to prevent this. anything else ...let me know stu

ciaran
I thought that you wern't really suppose to put any oil round the mag tube? I thought it was only suppose to be a dry cloth round them areas...?
chapperz1991
As said before, light oil on magazine tube, and inside piston, bore snake / copper brush down barrels wipe over. very easy to remove trigger , can be tricky lining it all up when putting back! just as easy to remove and clean firing pin. Had the gun 7-8 months, no problems as yet and has performed faultessly including cycling eley first 28gram 2 1/2 inch cartridges which i have read alot of semi auto's struggle with, as well as 30gram clear pigeon & 36gram bb. love the gun and dont think i would ever sell it. all the best. almost forgot to say, dont forget to take out the choke and clean and light oil the threads, i only use one choke predominantly 1/2 but i still take it out and clean as, when you come to change it you might have a hard time! stu nesling
Nice guns stu, i will never Part with my raptor, Iam using 1/4 choke in mine seems to be ok so far !!!! 1/4 is fine too, just the 1/2 gives a bit more flexibility in that it allows you to shoot close( a little harder) and a bit further range wise when needed with a decent pattern. though all shells throw a different pattern through a different choke it a very hard say whats best....basically if it works......leave it alone ciaran.....the top one is the 712 and one below is the 912 in my signature, both franchis that allow parts to be interchanged if i want, barrels etc. never wanted to but i can if i fancy somethinga bit different
