mpk
Keep finding this on a few of my pigeons over the last few months and probably harmless but honestly can't say I have seen it before ? Any ideas? Edited January 12, 2012 by mpk

mpk
Skin It's like a gooey sore like infection ? With blood clots and the skin has peeled away ?? Had it on a few over the last few weeks ? The skin is totally intact but see-through ?
chrispti
I would guess the skins just peeled as youve plucked the bird. The gooey clotty bit is possibly a result of you hitting the bird in the guts when you shot it. Edited January 12, 2012 by chrispti
Zapp
It's just bruising, could be where the bird hit the ground.
Teal
Yep it's bruising where it's hit the ground, will be more dramatic if it hits into a tree, rock road etc... and also dependent on birds height when shot and the way it falls, hence some appear to be more marked than other.
