Pheasant Feeder
These spin seat tops on buckets, what sort of weight are they capable of holding day in day out? Has anybody had one give way on them?
Redditch
These spin seat tops on buckets, what sort of weight are they capable of holding day in day out? Has anybody had one give way on them? I only put about 100 assorted shells in it,plus other bits and bobs, so maybe 10kg max. Wouldn't want the handle to break As for sitting on it, I weigh a 100kg, and it holds it no probs, just difficult to spin then. I have a better spinning folding seat from A1 Decoying which is far better and woud probably take 200kg Edited January 12, 2012 by Redditch
crosswaters
These spin seat tops on buckets, what sort of weight are they capable of holding day in day out? Has anybody had one give way on them? Yes I use this type of seat, very light and I load it with flask/food and carts for a days shoot. I removed the metal handle and drilled 10mm holes just under the rim then fed some rope thro to make a sling for carrying over the shoulder...hands free. I agree didn't spin well but after a quick spray with silicone it now works a treat. As for load bearing I would say not a issue at all, very strong. The bucket I used was white so I sprayed it in green/brown camo colour so it looks the job and for under a tenner from ebay....happy. cheers H

Pheasant Feeder
Cheers Gents, I weigh about 18 1/2 stone wasn't sure it would be up to it, but it sounds like it will so guess I'm going to have to put my hand in my pocket. Redditch
This is the one I prefer. Isn't a bucket but a folding seat with swivel seat, and bag underneath for £39.95 and is better quality. on eveil bay 190525047848
Cosd
I've had the Cabellas bucket seat for four years now, spins no problem, and holds plenty. Definitely recomend it.

artschool
I have had a foldable metal frame seat collapse beneath me whilst in a hide. Had my gun broken open so no danger but just goes to show you need to apply safe handling practice. I now have a bucket seat! Much safer. I've had the same with a cheap seat of the foldable variety, but the one I have from A1 Decoys is a really well made one,and will take a lot of use and abuse. waterside
Iv been using a real tree 10kg bucket from Nash tackle fraction of the price they also do a nice bucket cushion in green again peanuts compared to the shooting ones, I'd say the spinning seat doesn't really come into play that much. Have a look.
