955i
I have been looking for a second dog for a while as mine is getting on and won't be around too much longer, and fate helped me find this lovely girl today. Going to meet her next week and if all goes well she will be coming home with me

Sprocket
I have been looking for a second dog for a while as mine is getting on and won't be around too much longer, and fate helped me find this lovely girl today. Going to meet her next week and if all goes well she will be coming home with me I know nothing about this breed - but before you take her on, ask the current owner to take her to a park where there are other animals and let her off the lead. I see there is a Long lead in your photo, is that for tracking? training? OR something the dog needs to be kept on when in public? In my mind a dog is more pleasurable if you can trust a dog when mixing with others. Best of luck whichever decision you make.
Gordon R
I give up - what breed? Looks a bit of GSD, bit of Elkhound - colouring around face, but no curly tail.

She is a Utonagan, they are a mix of German shepherd, husky and malamute
Fatcatsplat
Well, despite me giving it a large "What the flippin' 'eck does he want that for?" look, they get a really good write up as being biddable, not overly mad and quite sociable. Let us know how you get on
955i
Well, despite me giving it a large "What the flippin' 'eck does he want that for?" look, they get a really good write up as being biddable, not overly mad and quite sociable. Let us know how you get on I have always liked the breed and my current dog is on his last legs bless him, I am looking for a dog that can come on site visits with me (self-employed ecologist) as I often find myself wandering around old quarries and the like doing surveys and my old boy just can't do it any more. I am finding that I am putting on weight due to not going for our daily walks and the poor girl needs a home as she waas treated very badly by her last owner, so much so that the breeder brought her back off them!! Luckily my girlfriend is an animal behaviourist specialising in dogs so if there are any issues she should be able to sort them out
scolopax
Don't know anything about the breed, and I'm making an assumption that you are a shooting man, but why don't you go for a gun dog breed? They really do make your outings that much more rewarding and successful.
