crosswaters
I little help please. I just bought this always wanted gun and was very lucky coming across this one that was in very good condition and also at fair price. The gun is a AYA no 2 28" barrels..choked 1/2 and 3/4. But the unusual thing about it has single non-selective trigger, the ser no is 562228 I believe this dates the gun mid 80s. I went onto AYA web site and every no2 gun I could see had double triggers. I then checked out gunwatch for sale guns and not one of these AYA no 2s had single trigger. I was just wondering if anyone has ever come across this before as this seems a very unusual gun. Looking at all the information from web sites and the pics of no 2 guns mine looks identical apart from the trigger. The guns shoots beautiful now I've got over the recoil issue. welshwarrior
I have a no2 and single trigger was a option when I bought it but heard they can be unreliable on a sbs and as it was non selective I spec a double trigger

gamekeeper1960
Hi crosswaters, As whelshwarrior has said single trigger was and is an option on aya guns, but if it worrys you as to which barrel first have the 3/4 choke opened up 1/2 as well job done or depending on yor shooting have both barrels opened up the same. PhilR
They are rare, I had a mid 80's AyA no 2 with non selective single trigger and English stock, I thought a semi or full pistol grip would have been better with it. I think the single trigger had problems when it was made selective, I never had a problem with my non selective. AyA also did a 722 which is a sidelock and that only came with a single trigger as far as I can remember. I had mine cast left handed and when I sold it 3 years ago I got the £1700 I wanted for it from the dealer who sold it on a commission basis for me.
