BobSki
Yes Timps, I'd read about yours nearly getting a swimming lesson. :o Those photos were taken before I had rubbed some English Walnut Preparation oil in to the wood. That has given it a nice sheen and seems to have brought the grain pattern out even more. One fellow has messaged me to say that when he bought his "new" it was in fact 3yrs old and on top of that, when he traded it in, the young lady who dealt with him found a hairline crack in the stock by the top lever - apparently a common problem. Does anyone else have experience of this, or know how to check the age of the gun via its serial number?

timps
You check the age by the last 2 letters of the Italian proof marks not the serial number on Berettas. CA - 2006 CB - 2007 CC - 2008 CD - 2009 CF - 2010 CH - 2011 CI - 2012 Nothing wrong with the wood on mine, I would not bother about the age too much, it has the new style chokes so the age is not important on a new gun unless there was some differences between the years the only thing different in the last few years on the DT10 was the chokes with the metal band instead of plastic.
