Adds to the sense of responsibilty for a youngster, and he'll have an interview and have to show he has at least some nouse, so something for him to work towards. HDAV
Hi sory, Shot gun on permision with me then yes strictly needs one the occupier of land can lend their gun to someone who is under their direct supervision the issue is occupier is not defined and there is debate as whether permission counts I would say put in for SGC and get him some lessons at a local clay ground first
Martin g
I asked the same question, and west yorks would class you as the occupier on the land you shoot over. So no he would not need his own cert.Heres the post I put up .. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/139586-9-yr-old/page__view__findpost__p__1191965__hl__%2Bwest+%2Byorkshire__fromsearch__1

Alycidon
AsI understand it if he is under your DIRECT supervision at all times then no he does not, But if you are present somewhere and he is being supervised by someone else then yes he does. A mate of mine's son won a driven BASC young shots day last year, he needed his own ticket to be able to shoot under BASC instructor supervision, he was 13 or so and had shot his first couple of driven birds with us the week before. He did get the ticket but it was a struggle. A

And any one who whant to no should ring there local force , PS Well don on rats, Sam is still buzzing Thanks
