Cranfield
I am looking for a main electric powered tyre pump , it must have an accurate pressure gauge (most don't). Anyone got a personal recommendation ?
CZ550Kevlar
I assume a 12v cigar adapter that plugs into the wall isn`t acceptable and use a car one?
Cranfield
I assume a 12v cigar adapter that plugs into the wall isn`t acceptable and use a car one? I have had a few of the smaller ones that plug into the car lighter, but they take quite some time to pump up a tyre (often overheating before the job is finished) and break quite easily, also their gauges are usually very inaccurate. Anyone got a personal recommendation ? Hi Cranfield, I think what you are looking for is a small air compressor.
bedwards1966
It does sound like you'd be best with a small compressor, but don't rely on the pressure gauge's you'll get with that. I've long since given up relying on the pressure gauges supplied with any compressor or airline equipment, as I've found that the only way forward is to use a dedicated gauge of reasonable quality. I have and would recommend one of these, or something like it. Tough and accurate
CZ550Kevlar
Ring automotive do a mains powered inflator but has a dial display for pressure so not very accurate.
