killer_pigeon
Apologies if its been done to death but just seen a Anschutz 1417 .22LR with 14inch barrel does anybody own one and how accurate are they. i have an Annie 17HMR and am well pleased with that rifle. The 1417 looks good for rough shooting out car window but i still do the odd bit of paper punching at 50m so was looking at Sako Quad\finfire with 20" barrel initially thanks
PAULT
I got one of these would not change it for any other rimfire will shoot 10mm groups out to 50yds and further.
Pointer
Nothing wrong with a 14inch barrel. The optimum length is 16inch according to all the data! But the difference for speed and zero is next to now't.

telf
i have annie 1417 and 1517 both with 14" barrels and wouldnt change them for anything, both these guns are alot more accurate than i am,the .22 is zeroed at 55yds and will still kill rabbits out to 80-85yds no holdover, cracking guns BUY IT
Gimlet
My HW .22 is 14". Has NV on it now but when it had a regular scope it was zeroed at 70 yds and would certainly shoot half inch groups at that range, better if I was having a good day. So will the Annie. welshwarrior
I have a 12 inch Annie and a 12.5 10/22 both great and accurate. In fact the cut down 10/22 is better than when it was 18.
