polester
I had a transit connect for 7 yrs with the previous firm I worked for. True they're slow, noisy, rubbish off road but I pained that van and it never broke. To make it go you had to kick it's head in and the only thing that went was the steering rack at 60,000 and three others in the fleet had the same prob at that mileage. The main bug bare I found was that it took miles for the engine to get warm not good at this time of year as you couldn,t defrost the screen. MPG was horrendous even if you drove it like Miss Daisy
haggis
There slow/under powered, uncomferable. what do you use it for? Back and forward to work, putting few tools in new and then. The main reason was for getting hay for the wifes horse but that gets delivered now so could have smaller van but got used to escort size as its handy. HDAV
For cheap running look at 1.3 cdti combo, similar size cheap to run and some are "crew vans" so have extra seats if needed.
haggis
Yeah thought about combo the engines suffer with a few faults but are getting cheaper to fix.
