SidneyG
I have an eye dominance problem... I actually do not have a dominant eye, my eyes tend to compete with each other. I have now started to use an easy hit rather than shutting one eye, only my right eye can see the red dot, it does seem to be helping. florida1
Just as it says. I note you can get all sorts of different ones. Not normally a fiddler, leave things alone when they work and I am breaking the clays - these intrigued me though http://www.easyhit.co.uk/ anyone use them? Or anyone using any other 3rd party sights, and what do you think of them? it is easy to say but you should be able to forget the gun, cartridges, chokes sights, shoot what you see , it will become second nature ,but that comes with time and lots of shooting !!!!!! life great when you can shoot good luck
pin
Was a long time ago that post, and as you say I don't even see the barrel really when I shoot. Scores have improved nicely and managed to win a competition and get a few high guns - clearly I just needed practice and not fancy gun tackle
Catamong
The Olympic Gold Medalist Richard Faulds shoots a Beretta DT10 with no bead at all on the rib. Big flashy beads are a distraction, as you should only ever focus entirely on the target. Cat
P03
Just over two months all told, about 6 weeks with my own gun. I had no intention of getting into this for competition, and I am a long way off that anyway. The most important thing to me is its something I really enjoy, I love being out in the country and if I get to shoot the odd target, live or clay, all the better. Have a go at a few local comps Pin......you'll love it and it certainly helps to improve your concentration and scores.

Can't wait Pin, I've suggested a possible meet at Dartford Clay Sports on Sunday 21 Jan for a 100 bird registered sporting comp. I will find out more info about the event as I've not shot there for a few years but I've heard good reports about it. It's about a 50 minute run from Arkley but about 50 hours from Newcastle Upon Tyne..!! I think others may be up for it, namely dunganick, Tosspot & SS, who should be back from his hols by then. Any others fancy a go..?? Cat.
