Blackpowder
they are nice and light A lot of us started off our shooting carrers with sb shotguns, they do make you take care in what you shoot at with no back up barrel. Years ago before quad bikes arrived on the scene I remember two gamekeepers who carried sb guns on their trap rounds, light to carry and perhaps not cleaned as readily as a good gun might have been. Just enjoy, its your choice. Blackpowder Edited February 26, 2012 by Blackpowder

Blunderbuss
My first shotgun thirty years ago was an identical Baikal single bought new for thirty quid from Henry Monks in Chester. I loved that gun and thought I was the dogs danglies stepping out over the fields with it broken over my arm Enjoy your new purchase. Nothing beats your first gun Edited February 29, 2012 by Blunderbuss
Bad Monkey
Ignore the naysayers and enjoy your new gun, a good gun doesn't have to be expensive (see my sig for evidence ), it just needs to fit and be reliable
