cockercas
i just received my torch http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YG01-T6-1000-Lumens-High-Power-Rechargeable-Waterproof-Cree-Led-Torch-/150740670097?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item2318d81691 ive charged the battery. shoved it in the torch and nothing, so i sent an email to them. tried it again and it come on, sort of. 1000 lumens should be close to the output of a car headlight. i stood in my bedroom and shone it at the wall. them unlocked my phone and shone that at the wall. the phone (on stand by) over powered the torch. anyone got one? am i missing something? humperdingle
I have one very similar. The charger I wouldn't trust to switch on in the house tbh... Very poor quality, as you might expect for the price. I'd advise getting a couple of the CR123 batteries and trying them in it. Your 18650 battery might be dead, or the charger is poop. humperdingle
Sounds pooped then. Have you checked the wires and seating of bulb etc? I'm not sure if these cree bulbs have pots or not (like lasers)
bedwards1966
There is clearly something wrong with it, I have one and it hurts my eyes if I shine it at a white wall a couple of feet away, it's bright.

Its definitely faulty. I have been out lamping with the same torch in 500lm and you can clearly see up to 150m!

humperdingle
its gone back it came with battery's That's the best thing. With a new torch, you don't want to be farting about with the innards anyway. Hopefully any replacement will be 'blinding' The technology of bulbs is amazing... I remember having an old MOD angle torch, and it would drain a couple of 'D' cells with a pathetic throw of light in no time at all. Now you get something akin to a car headlight, but absolutely tiny, and loads of usage out of a couple of batteries. Good for us hunters
