bicykillgaz
hi, just thought i'd post these links for anyone who is having trouble finding a decent mount for there cree flashlight the first one is the one i've got on my escort as you can see in the picture below, it has two different sized ends i have the slightly smaller size on the barrel and the other holding the torch, i have cut up an old lense cloth to stop the mount scratching my barrel as it is a metal mount.link 1 the second i've just seen and thought it would help anyone who has a large objective scope as i struggled to find one when i had a 50mm scope as the rubber/velcro mounts wasn't high enough it will give good clearance as it stands quite high and is what its designed for. link 2 here's a couple of pics of my mount i could do with trimming the lense cloth down a little but it doesn't get in my way so not too fussed. arjimlad
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal-nylon-mount-for-flashlights-and-lasers-12000 Neat solution - I find these rubber lockblocks very good too, no risk of scratching anything either. Cake444
Nordic Components do a very solid mount. Had mine on with a lamp for a while now with no movement or barrel scuffing, even when using high recoil cartridges. It’s expensive though. http://www.cactustactical.com/osc/images/barrel_clamp_2.jpg
Alpha Mule
I'd steer clear of DX for th etime being. Stuff I ordered at New Year still isn't here and if I get an email telling me to be patient, I'm lucky. Avoid. I do use those mounts though and they are good. bicykillgaz
i use the rubber blocks on my rifle as i've only got a 44mm objective on my scope so they are great but on a shotgun i cant get on with them. that nordic components clamp looks spot on, how much was it shipped? southeastpete
what torch do you have on there? I am after a decent torch, only needs to be good for shotgun ranges, with one of those tail switches. Im hoping to only spend about £30 though... any ideas?
