SOUTH LINCOLNSHIRE WILDFOWLERS ON THE WASH

Are now offering new membership for the 2012/13 season, also day permits are available but you must be a member of "BASC" . there is over 20 miles of foreshore to shoot over, from the 1st of september until the 20th of february. ... we have some of the best duck marshes on the wash.. if not the best on the wash ..

we have a big variety of wildfowl on our marshes with great numbers of wigeon, teal .... the wash also winters over 100,000 + pinks each year , also we have a good stock of greys and canadas ..

the price to shoot for the year is £110 with £56 of that going to "BASC" and £54 to south lincs for the shooting ...

anyone who has not tried costal wildfowling and wants to give it a go there will be someone in the club to take you out for a few flights .....

click on the link and it will take you to our website for any more info

http://www.slwc.co.uk/

ps I have cut and pasted this from last year so the subs may be up a few shilling from last year.

your not that far away then if you want join to try it , i will be willing to take you out a few times , but if you just want to see if you like it.... get a couple of day tickets and i will take you out but i bet you will love it , it puts a lot of people of with all the talk of soft mud and how dangerous it is with the tides and so on , "yes it can be very dangerous at times " but if your sensible about it and do your home work and take care when your out there then in my personal opinion it will be the best sport you have ever done ..

on the other hand if you think your going to shoot loads of fowl when out the with lots of shooting then you will not enjoy it because it does not work like that ...

but i am more than happy to help if i can ......come down to the clay ground that starts easter weekend to introduce yourself there will be plenty of banter and a good crack with the lads .... :good:

that sounds like a plan. I'll have a word with the boss and make sure she hasn't got loads of decorating planned.

Where do you hold the clay shoot?

There is normaly a couple of clay shoots a month I think leading up to August, you will see them on the website once its updated by whoever is in charge of it :whistling::whistling:

I dont know if I can make Easter weekend yet but will get when I can :good:

I will let WW tell you where it is :D

If you head towards kirton on the spalding to Boston road at the kirton roundabout take the 3rd exit for frampton , then go 150 yards and turn right onto skeldyke road follow that road for a mile and a half going past some council houses on your right then you will come to sharp left hand bend and on that bend you turn right ,onto nidds lane again follow that road right to the bottom to the t junction then turn right heading to kirton marsh follow the road you will come to the old sea wall go over that and 150 yards up the road you will come to a cross roads, turn right follow the road for 300 yards and you will come to a hedge on the right there 's a track at the side of it go up that and into the grass field and you will see us in there .

It's is sigh posted also and its not as hard to find as it sounds .

Look forward to seeing you

I must admit I have always fancied a go at wild fowling and I can almost throw a stone in the wash from where I live but not sure if it would be for me or not so a day ticket might be a option , does someone have to take you out when your on a ticket ??

If a couple of us wanted to come up for a week next season, would we need guides or could we just buy a weeks shooting? Just a thought at the minute as we did a couple of away trips this year and found it really nice to visit somewhere different.

as members of south lincs we are not allowed to guide anyone ... but if it was showing potential new members the marshes , then i cannot see why we could not help anyone out .....
