Sorry I must have misunderstood this post....

The sx3 is a nicely balanced gun I use my dads more than him it's the waterfowl 3 1/2 magnum and if will cycle 28 grams all day but it will cycle 24 grams but when it gets dirty after about 50 cartridges it does start to jam

Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but its pretty irrelevant in topics like this one ;)

No mate, it isn't. However having taken advice I run 'normal' steel loads through it with no adverse effects to date. Basically it boils down to no HP loads and no more than half choke, which I find is too tight anyway.

You are of course limited quite a lot by chamber length but wildfowlers have for years managed without 3 1/2" chambers and I managed perfectly well last year. At the end of the day it's a £300 gun, IF it does get damaged in the long term then I'll not be crying too hard if I have to scrap it.

That said, it survived two full submergences (one as I tracked a duck a little too far and quite literally rolled off my perch in the middle of a gully and into 18" of icy sea water, oh my mate did chuckle...for about 20 minutes! ) as well as being rolled around in the mud on several occasions and the only time it jammed was when I thought I'd get away with giving a muddy (dropped  ) cart a quick wipe over then into the magazine, it declined to fully come back out due to the small particles of grit I'd missed, causing it to jam in the tube!

Cheers mongrel good to know, what a sight you falling off your perch....quality!
