jason kaye Posted April 9, 2012 Report Share Posted April 9, 2012 If you study collared doves in this country you will notice that the cock birds tend to be a much paler colour than the hens and especially at this time of year,the cocks can have a mottled colouring.this is to do with breeding condition and the molt.
