Well, I don't have a Tikka, but I do have a X-Bolt Stainless Stalker and I think, for the money, it's superb. Not sure about the above comment, the X-Bolt has a five round magazine which is both compact and innovative. I've had no reliability issues and the accuracy out of the box is spot-on.

The above comment was just that - I can't be doing with guns that do not use a mag.

Its all down to cost really, if you can afford a Tika then all the positive comments on here speak for themselves. My first centrefire was a Remington 700 sps in 243 and its been a real love/hate relashionship, the rifle is now probably as, if not more accurate than most Tikas but if you add up the Timney trigger, hogue stock and barrel shortening it would have been cheaper just to buy a Tika. I now have a Tika hunter in 308, it shoots real well with out any mods, its nice and light, the trigger is sweet and easy to adjust, all in all a well rounded and reliable tool. I'm sure that the Browning is a great rifle too, not that I have ever fire one, but have read a bit on them, adjustable trigger, bedded action, benefits of both mag and floorplate etc.
