everycal
Hi All. Had my shotgun certificate for ages and only ever had three guns, but maybe getting a fourth. Is there a limit on how many you can have on a license? When the officer did the interview and check she didn't mention anything and I can't see anything on my license to say there's a limit? Thanks for your help! Luke
killer_pigeon
you can buy as many as you like or yuo can physically house in cabinets etc. A retired mate of mine had 62 shotguns before he decided to part with a few of them to "thin out his collection".
bicykillgaz
I don't think there is a maximum as long as they can all be stored in your locker safely.
bedwards1966
As many as you can store securely (i.e what'll fit in your cabinet), however some forces start asking you to install extra security measures, such as alarms, when you are getting a good collection going. MM
I suppose you could always break them down and store the barrels if you needed more room. I always thought it was the barrel and not the stock that needed to be locked away.

It is not a legal requirement to have alarms etc fitted to the property where firearms are kept. Security cabinets are good enough. Some police forces insist on 'extra' security, but are breaking the law themselves.
