Harnser
Why have you gone for a self loader for your first gun ? You would proberbly do better to buy a sxs or o/u for a first gun . The self loaders are more of an experienced shooters choice . There are times when you need four hands to operate them and they can be a right pig to strip and clean . Also they are not always acceptable on game shoots . You really do need to be competant in stripping the gun down in case it has to be done in the field and often as not some self loaders have to be field stripped . Harnser . solz
hey thanks for the advice so far. @harnser always wanted a semi for a rough/clay gun. i should of said before i have been shooting for about 5 years and have used both u/o and sbs which i have shot on my own land on my fathers SGC, i mainly do rough shooting and the old clay now and then don't really do much game shooting apart from the beaters days on a couple of shoots and for then i can use my fathers Beretta or the old AYA thx solz

HDAV
well i love my webley & scott 810 semi left handed. almost go a escort but the webley fitted a bit better. Doubt you'll find any other choices LH under £500 except perhaps a LH remmy 1100, plenty of people shoot RH ejecting semi LH eye protection is advised tho! Fab arm do LH semi as do benelli but over budget Edited May 1, 2012 by HDAV

Harnser
I've yet to see a semi needing stripped out in the field Then you have been very lucky . Never had to take the barrel off because the extractor has pulled the head of a cartridge off and left the tube in the barrel ? never had to take the barrel off to check there is nothing left in the barrel after a squib load ?never had to take the barrel and the bolt out because the gun is not cycling properply ? HDAV
thx for all the replies. would it be worth getting a second hand LH Fabarm or a benelli that is in my budget? or would they be do "used" If you can find a Benelli i would seriously consider it Fabarm would be a bit of a gamble. Only one I have seen LH didn't work. Remmington 11-87 is an option: http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/120320160501001 There is a LH Benelli on Guntrader for £550 but I'm no expert on semi's and dont really like them
