chrispti
For that money you will be looking a second hand. A multi choke sporter with 30'' or 32'' barrels. Take a look at a Beretta 686 or silver pigeon 1. Miroku MK 38 will be worth a look at too

ditchman
My mate has a variety of expensive o/u's but the one he uses most is a Lanber, he bought it new and stripped the woodwork and used Purdey rubbing oil on it for 2 weeks, it looks a treat, a really good quality basic no-nonsence all round 28" barrel gun, im a s/s man, but i do like the llanber it handles very similar to a s/s in weight and pointability......... Its a very personal thing, and to be honest the best thing is to look and try as many as possible. Whenever I look round a gun shop I am drawn to Brownings but my son has the same thing with Beretta. However, if you stick to these makes if it turns out you have not bought the right thing you will have no problem selling it on, whereas you may not find other makes have such a big market. Best of luck.

Thought I preferred Beretta O/U until I tried a browning/ miroku, I feel the Berettas are a bit of a dead weight in comparison, just my opinion of course

cant hit rabbits 123
Again, I'd say look for a good secondhand Browning, Miroku or Beretta. Being a genius I bought a Beretta O/U, a Miroku S/S and a Browning semi auto. Covered from all angles! If you know your way about a gun and know what you are comfortable with then finding a nice game gun for your budget should be no issue, unless your prefference is Holland and Holland.
