TJ91
What were they originaly bred for? Sorry if its a stupid question but I have always liked them just never really knew what they were used for? Anyone got/had 1?? Would you recommend against having 1 just as a pet?
JDFrain
The Beagle was bred specifically for rabbit hunting, and King Edward III is known to have used the dog for just that purpose. Hunting with Beagles is done on foot, rather than horseback and has been called "beagling." JDF Edited May 9, 2012 by JDFrain

Actionpigeons
They was originally bred to hunt rabbits but very quickly moved on to hunting hares and did so for many years up to the ban. Since the ban they are ment to have returned to hunting just rabbits Edited May 10, 2012 by Actionpigeons
