Hi.

Just wanted to promote a club I have joined....see topic description!

If you want to check them out, they have a website: www.hartlepool-wildfowlers.co.uk

Inland marsh wildfowling, game (rough) shooting and also some vermin shooting is available through the club.

Fees are reasonable, but you need to do three working parties per year before shooting game (not required before going wildfowling).

Cheers.

I'm thinking about joining this club as I live in Durham , what's cowpen marsh like shoot? Many birds around and what other wildfowling do you get as I'm not interested in the rough shoot as I'm a syndicate member at 2 other shoots, more info would be great as the web page isn't helpful, and I believe it's £300 a season if that's the case the shooting must be. Better than the wash or Kent for that price !

Aii I've got a mate who's a member of a private in down wash it cost him 5k for a lifetime membership an I go down for a week once a season for £6 a day but I don't mid the fees cos its local just would like info on the size of the marsh an the wildfowling they do have so I see what I'm getting for the fees

I went to the meeting tonight, the club is good value for money but if it's foreshore shooting you're after then this isn't for you. The marsh is a fresh water marsh and there is a lot of rough shooting. It's what the club has developed into over the years and with BASC membership thrown in I think it looks like a good opportunity.
