I have said it before and will say it again, we shoud keep a running total of all the monies raised by the shooting community for Charity, perhaps like a thermometer. It would be good to show the positive side of shooting.

Dont forget to add the amount that was raised by hitclays Norfolk Flush a couple of months ago that also went to "different strokes" as part of the PW Charity scheme.

Well done to everyone at Pigeon Watch.

Apologies to Terry and all who took part in the Norfolk Flush fund raiser. It had slipped beyond my increasingly diminishing short term memory horizon. Now duly amended. (The amount that is - not, unfortunately, my memory.)

No apology needed.

Only three sleeps left - morning auntie - and the total now stands at £1563.75 with at least another £117 to come from the auctions which are currently running.

(I also understand that Zane, David and Maria may be donating a further £13.10 when they get their homework back.)

The total raised so far (see above) is good but could be better, there aren't quite as many able to make the shoot this year so the monies raised through the entry fees will be a bit down and possibly the raffle fund may not raise quite as much. :hmm:

There is some thing that those of us who have still got 2 days in work can do to try and match the totals raised in 2010 & 2011

On the 2012 website http://wherestheclayground.at/pwcharityshoot/ on the home page is a download for a sponsorship form. Print a couple off, take them into work or to the pub and just ask workmates, colleagues, the boss even those you don't like and I think you'll be surprised how much you can get pledged.

I took a couple in yesterday and by end of play I had filled one & a half sheets with a current total of £200 + gift aid :good::good: I've been off today but I confidently expect to have gathered in £300 by Friday. I had a stroke of luck in that the first guy to sign up pledged a tenner and the following 18 people all felt obliged to match that (quite a few actually said they wanted to give a fiver but it was the 19th guy up who was "brave" enough to break the mould and drop back to £5)

Don't get me wrong it's not always comfortable asking people for money but I just thought about how much I've chipped in to various charities over the years !!!

Funnily enough as with all these sponsorships these days no one wanted to or even asked about sponsor per clay hit. I recommend the Southern contingent don't go down that route, there won't be much in the pot if they only get money for clays killed :lol::lol:

Give it a go, you might be surprised.

With the Just Giving contributions now standing at 83% of target, the total is currently £2256.25 and still climbing. Keep 'em coming.

Congratulations to all who made it on the day. There certainly appeared to be some good shooting going on. All the scores should now be up on the website - http://wherestheclayground.at/pwcharityshoot/scores2012.php - if anyone feels they have been affected by a 'software glitch' please let me know. (Al I tried to enter your score as 107, but the computer kept saying no.)

What is the total so far?? as cant remember what Will said

Current total is £2256.25 - see the website for a breakdown. This doesn't include the raffle or black pudding/oatcake proceeds which will be comfortably over a grand. Just needs a bit more of a push to get up to and over the £4000 that is normally raided.

Latest Update

Rolling in the £1208 raised from the auction and the donations for the regional food delicacies (special thanks to timps & Iggy) takes the grand total on to £3580.50 - full breakdown available on the website.

If you still haven't had chance to make a contribution yet don't worry, the Just Giving page is still open for donations.
