Doc Holliday
Has anyone used the GULP! range of artificial baits? I saw them in my local tackle shop and wondered if anyone ofthe PW collective have used them. They have some pretty outlandish claims (400 times more scent!) which automatically makes me suspicious. Has anyone tried these or something similar? I'd be interested to know what results you had, if any.
MM
Ive used the worms, but only in the states. They seemed to work, but i wasnt sure if it was the scent or the motion.
hedd-wyn
I always used to carry a pack of the king rags in my box as a last resort when bass fishing, had to use them on many occasion when lures and bait were lost. But they gave me no luck unfortunately so stopped using them.
oscarsdad
They are absolute cack. They may work in the US in the warmer water but as a static bait here they are utterly useless. The only success I have had with them is with the crab ones fished under a float near the rocks as wrasse etc are then feeding on sight. Don't waste your money on them. PigeonEater
The Gulp trout dough is **** hot on the river!
ack-ack
I've often wondered myself as to there effectiveness based purely on the shelf space devoted to them in some of the Dover shops. They don't stock **** that doesn't sell, if it sells it must work. In a clear water scenario where motion is the decisive factor I may well be tempted but I'm still a bit dubious. Who was it that said lures catch more anglers than fish?
