Jon-Boy
Hi chaps, was out shooting bunnies the other night on a friends farm and along with us was a guest of the farmer who happens to be in the military. He brought with him a load of .22 rf ammo which was given to him by the MOD because it was no longer required or something like that . So off we went in the 4x4 for some bunnies, we had shot say 5-6 bunnies when, this 'guest' takes a shot at this rabbit... about 45 yards away. It was a good hit, with the trade mark "thwack" of the bullet impact, but this time was a little different... It was like he had shot his lazer gun at the thing, an almighty red streak came from his gun all the way to the target!!! He had just fired a tracer round!!! He was as shocked as we were. Now my question to you chaps is, are these available? and who makes them? as they were very fun to watch on a dark night !! Cheers Jon p.s i know you can get them in the states(http://www.outlandsales.com/tracer22.html), but what about here in the uk?
Foxer
We were once clearing out my grandads attic and found a box of about 50 .22 rimfire tracer rounds, my dad took them as my grandad no-longer has any rifles and tried them out later that evening but they would not fit in the rifle at all (an old anchutz bolt action) they were to tight a fit and wouldnt go in the chamber without extreme force so we just let one of my dads mates who has a .22 rimmy have them. not sure if you can still buy them or not though
Graham M
Just make sure you clean your barrel after shooting them. G.M.
