set up in grasse field 50 yards from a dung heap set hide by the hedge wind from left to right. Well i have shot in wind lots of times but this was wind. had to tie down the brolly and nets tie the polls to the fence it was horendos. Put out 11 f u d s (must have lost one some place)and started at 10.45. Had first 10 in 55 min for only 13 carts. Then the wind realy started spent loads of time tieing and retieing nets and brolly but managed to get set again. My mate Tom was at the outher end of the same field he had the wind behind him against a headge and was a bit more shelted than me, He had only 4 shots in the first hour and missed the lot blameing the wind for his poor shooting. my day only got better i finished with 29 bodys 2 lost over the hedge in the corn and a brolly in taters. Tom wentto pick up a shot bird in the field behind him and got his welly stuck in the mud, loosing his ballance he took anouther step but his welly stayed in the mud and his foot endded up in cow poo. Not a happy chappy after this because he dident get the bird eather. Tom finnished with 10 bodys and 2 lost and a very wet and smelly foot and welly. But a great day considering the conditions. My cartridge count was 62 Tom just mutted some thing about bloody wind!
