Asa Bear
The local press are involved now and with what else is going on (the burial of the wife's mother who was a good old sort and will be deeply missed) we did not want to argue the case. Now people are aware these things do go wrong and can eat money, even if it is three quid call the machine and the organisation a thief and make noise. Thirty quid is better than just a plain refund! Fair comment. I understand you just want the easy life at a time like this. The easy option would be to decline their vouchers, let the paper run the story and see what they offer then. 955i
Worst I have had with these machines is when I had the kids with me causing mayhem, did shopping, went to self-service and asked for £50 cash back. Packed shopping and went completely forgetting the £50 as it comes out of the bottom of the machine. Did the lovely lady in the queue behind me point out my error and hand me my money? Did she hell, after a good look around to see if anyone was looking, she stuffed it in her bag (seen on CCTV). Thieving bitch!!
Imperfection
went to self-service and asked for £50 cash back. I popped into Asda yesterday and discovered they now do cashback on the self service tills.I love them because i can breeze straight through with no hold ups. Exactly. You are £30 up. Nobody died. You got an apology. Move on. If it makes it to the press it is 5 minutes of attention until something else happens.
