Finshed work at 415pm yesterday and car already loaded up to go...

Arrived at the broad for 5pm and set about getting the spod mix ready...mix of vitalin, partiblend, brown and white crumb, maize, sweetcorn and pellets...mixed together with molasses

Spent about a hour spodding out to a marker float where the shelf is from 4 foot to 6/7 foot of water...put about 7/8kg in..

Then set the matching rods up (tackle tart) Maver Genesis feeder with shimano 4000 RCDH with 8lb line on with a fox 1.5oz feeder and size 14 hook changing from maggot, maize and worm..

Started slow with the odd bream then as soon as getting dark the action went mad...nearly had to bring one rod in as getting proper wrap round bites.

Packed up at 12am as started to chuck it down so no pic of the final bag  but roughly ended up with about 50-60lb of bream (not one roach  ) with the biggest about 4lb...Also had a cracking perch of 2.6lb (not the best photo)

Nice to be back on the rivers :good:
