CharlieT
Don't know about the short range bit, all I put down was fox, vermin and clay pigeon shooting.
Scully
Mine was refused when I stated I wanted it for rabbits.I was advised by my FEO to apply under 'the terms and conditions of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981(?)date may be wrong, can't remember.I quoted the act on my application and got the variation. My FEO told me that although they realise everyone shoots rabbits with shotguns,it isn't strictly within the terms of the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
